Asda are working in partnership with City Hearts to support survivors of modern slavery, through their involvement in the Bright Future programme and the Ingredients for Life cookery programme.
Ingredients for Life is a pilot programme designed to teach cookery skills to survivors of modern slavery.
Asda provide four lessons based on a syllabus created by their Head Innovation Chef. The syllabus aims to teach essential cookery skills whilst boosting health and well-being, focusing on areas that survivors have said are most important to them.
“As well as practical skills, Ingredients for Life is helping participants to build confidence, to help them move forward positively in their rehabilitation journey.”
Asda also support our Bright Future programme, offering work placements and non-competitive job interviews at their International Procurement and Logistics sites.
