On the 19th April, we will be embarking on a two-week virtual journey to the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro, raising money for survivors of modern slavery and those seeking a crime-free future, and we challenge you to join the expedition.
At 5895 metres high, Kilimanjaro is the highest mountain in Africa. The route is 49 miles in total, 7,392 steps a day for 14 days.
We are raising funds for a vital restoration hub, which will deliver two areas of key support:
Restoration Packs – for people who enter any of our services with very little or nothing. The restoration pack would go beyond the essential list and provide pamper items, chocolate, slippers and other items which bring comfort and show someone they are cared for.
Renovation Packs – For people moving into a property that requires items to make a house a home, such as rugs, lamps and pictures..
We’re aiming to raise a total of £62,000, which will cover the costs of the hub set up and running for the first year. The best individual fundraiser will also win a years supply of chocolate from Tony’s Chocolonely!
- A donation of £10 will provide a luxury item for a pack, making someone feel extra special
- A donation of £25 will provide premium bedding for our restoration packs, giving a survivor of modern slavery a warm, safe night’s sleep for the first time in years.
- A donation of £70 will provide a restoration pack for a survivor of modern slavery in a safe house, with essential items and some home comforts that will help them to know they are safe and valued
- A donation of £200 will provide a renovation pack for someone breaking free from a life of crime.
