What is THE restoration hub?

A restoration hub is like a food bank for hygiene and care items, such as pyjamas or new underwear.

City Hearts supports over 700 vulnerable and exploited people, who often arrive with nothing but the clothes on their back.

In order to help them to feel cared for from the moment they arrive, we provide them with packs of essentials such as toothbrushes and towels. We also like to include items such as comfortable slippers or luxury chocolate, as we know it’s the little things that can make someone feel valued.

In order to provide these things as soon as they’re needed, we created a central space to store, pack and distribute from. This is the Restoration Hub.

Help keep our hub well stocked with essentials by donating items below via our online wishlist.

Help us give hundreds like Agnes back their dignity and freedom

I was trapped, they had my passport, I couldn’t go out of the house, I was so afraid; every day made to sleep next to the bin, thrown scraps of food from the table. He would threaten to hurt my children if I did not do what he wanted; I had to get out when the abuse turned physical.

One night, when he was asleep from alcohol. I ran for my life, the police helped me find City Hearts. When I arrived at the City hearts safe house I had nothing, I was alone.

Then I saw my room laid out with so many beautiful things, I felt I was worth something again. I grabbed a fresh towel and shampoo and had a warm shower for the first time in 7 years. I felt clean, safe and knew my life had changed now forever.

Now I am not alone, I have hope.
